Established in 1960 by Robert and Gloria Messerlian, the company continued to evolve when their son Paul Messerlian came onboard full-time in 1987. Paul expanded the retail division into what has become one of Rhode Island’s largest and most premier jewelry stores. Paul’s daughter, Janina Messerlian, joined the company in 2018 to carry the family business forward and into the future.
Her 20+ year background in costume jewelry, fast fashion and ultimate corporate burnout inform her current values. A passion for jewelry and the story it tells inspired her to create Brave Daughters.
