Nestled in the quiet and beautiful countryside of Smithfield — only fifteen minutes from Providence and just off of either 295 or 146 — Twelve Acres makes for a unique and beautiful setting. Family-owned-and-operated since 1988, our staff takes great pride in our reputation for hosting events with great care. The natural beauty of our outdoor arbor, gardens and pavilion in such a centralized location distinguishes us from any other venue. It can be difficult to find a venue that is both conveniently located and equipped with naturally beautiful facilities, but we offer it all. The value you receive at Twelve Acres is only surpassed by the quality of our service.
What is your aesthetic?
We offer everything from the formality of our ballroom to the rustic nature of our Willow Room to the natural beauty and versatility of our outdoor pavilion. The ballroom can accommodate up to 200 wedding guests, while the Willow Room is more intimate with a maximum of 120 guests. For outdoor receptions, our pavilion’s capacity caps at 250 or with additional tents it can host up to 400.

Where are the best photo ops on your property?
Photo ops are everywhere! We have beautiful gardens, outdoor arbor, natural stone and more, all great for grabbing the perfect picture. Each room has its own character yet can be decorated to your personal taste. We also include linens in your choice of white or ivory with every event.
What is your catering situation?
Here at Twelve Acres, we provide all food and beverage on-site. House specialties include our Chicken Kiev and baked stuffed shrimp, and our outdoor pig roasts and clambakes are hugely popular. We do not charge room or facility fees—our pricing is based on your menu choices. We customize each menu to make certain that it meets your needs and special requests can always be accommodated.
What advice would you give newly engaged couples when it comes to their venue search?
We think it's important for couples to be comfortable with their venue. They need to feel confident that it is going to satisfy what they want on what is one of the most important days of their lives. Each couple has an individual aspect that is most important to them, such as outdoor facilities, a large dance floor, great food, reasonable prices, etc. We hope to prioritize our clients’ specific needs to ensure that their wedding will be one to remember. Our goal is to work with each couple to make sure their day is the one they have envisioned.
