The Imperial Room is available year-round for all types of special events.
Does the Imperial Room lend itself well to any particular themes? The Imperial Room features elegant decor that lends itself to all types of themes and decorating schemes. Some of the many themes that we have had the pleasure of hosting over the years include nautical, old Hollywood, Roaring Twenties, rustic, winter wonderland, Alice in Wonderland and more.
Can you provide dEcor or is your space more of a blank canvas for couples to decorate themselves? The Imperial Room offers many inexpensive decorating options, such as in-house centerpieces, chair covers and other items to supplement a client’s decorations (including mirrors, candles, charger plates, etc.). In addition, our clients may deliver all non-perishable items the day before the event and the Imperial Room staff will set up all of the decorations, usually at no additional charge (though some limitations do apply).
Where are the best photo ops on your property? The Imperial Room has a small landscaped gazebo space that is available for photographs, as well as a beautiful lobby area. Additionally, the building is centrally located in the historic Edgewood/Pawtuxet area of Cranston in close proximity to Roger Williams Park and the scenic Gaspee area, which boasts ocean views and many Revolutionary Era buildings.
Are you a one-stop shop? The venue offers two adjoining rooms for weddings — our nicely appointed lounge area is perfect for informal wedding ceremonies and/or cocktail hours, while the Imperial Room is an elegant room best suited for dinner and dancing.
What’s your capacity? Though capacities may vary based on the seating and entertainment setup, generally the maximum is 200 guests without a dance floor. But, if you want to dance the night away, we cap out at around 180 guests. Theatre-style seating is also available.
What’s your catering situation? All catering is prepared in-house under the direction of our skilled executive chef, who has been extensively trained in the culinary arts and food and beverage management. In addition to offering a large selection of menus, including stationary and passed hors d’oeuvres, buffet, plated, stations and family-style dinners, the Imperial Room is able to accommodate most special dietary requests, including vegan and gluten-free. We also offer a full-service bar complete with a skilled bartending staff.
What other perks do you offer? Our room rental fee also includes the use of a six-foot diagonal projector screen and a microphone/podium (lectern) which is perfect for playing sentimental slideshows and videos during your reception or for complementing a best man’s/maid of honor’s toast.
