By their fifth anniversary, during a romantic cabin trip in Vermont, Josh knew Amanda was his forever.

The Meet Cute
Amanda and Josh swiped right on each other in the spring of 2019, and bonded over both being middle children and Geminis. Their first date was at a Korean restaurant in downtown Providence and our second date was at IKEA. “I figured if we could make it through the stress of IKEA, we could make it long term … and we did!” says Amanda.
The Proposal
On their five-year anniversary is when Josh got down on one knee, and despite it being a big milestone for their relationship, it was completely unexpected for Amanda. The pair had rented a cabin in Vermont, had a fire going and had just cooked dinner. Amanda went into the other room to change, and when she came back out, Josh has spread rose petals and 100 candles throughout the cabin. With his guitar in hand, he and sang her a song by the fire before popping the question. “Luckily he had recorded the whole thing because it was definitely an out of body experience for me!” says Amanda.
The wedding will be in August next year at the Branford House in Groton, CT.
