Tutera’s designs hold merit through his reality television shows “My Fair Wedding with David Tutera” and “David Tutera’s CELEBrations” where he has given clients the wedding of their dreams. He has also catered to an array of celebrities’ weddings and celebrations, including Elton John, Matthew McConaughey, Tommy Hilfiger, Susan Lucci and more.
The partnership with Castle Hill Inn began when Tutera hosted his David Tutera Experience in Newport in Sept. 2021 and Castle Hill Inn was one of the chosen locations. After working together, the venue found there was more in common than just a one-time event. “We found that our brands were very much aligned,” says Marie Charles, director of sales and marketing. “He had best intentions for the best experience for our guests and knew how to fuse natural beauty and bring visions to life.”
Following the experience, Castle Hill Inn decided to continue the partnership and remained connected. It unearthed the forty-acre experience idea that the venue had many years ago and saw Tutera as. the perfect partner to revive it “and provide a vision more aligned with today,” Charles says.
“We are so excited for this partnership and experience,” Sales and Event Manger Jackie Maroney says. “It’s something we’ve been working on for quite some time and we’re excited to see it come to fruition.”
The Forty-Acre Experience offers three tiers of packages for celebrations at Castle Hill Inn. For couples who may have most of the planning done, they can choose the Getting Started with David Tutera package where they can virtually consult with Tutera via four, one-hour phone calls and ask for his input. If you’re not sure where to start with the planning process but have some ideas, The Virtual David Tutera Touch includes up to twenty hours of virtual planning support from Tutera. Discuss options over mood boards, design decks and floor plans as you see your vision come to life. Tutera will also suggest a timeline for weekend events to complement the big day.
Go all in with The Full David Tutera Luxury Experience: a three-day experience where Tutera is the lead on-site planner for the rehearsal dinner, wedding, after party and farewell brunch. With this package, you can truly say the David Tutera and the Castle Hill Inn team designed your wedding celebration from start to finish. Everything from entertainment to sound and lighting, florals and decor, linens, seating and cuisine will be perfect and custom to each couple. With this package, Tutera may even be present on site to see the space come to life. While this experience is geared toward weddings, it can be adjusted for another celebration.
With the whole weekend planned, it showcases all the Castle Hill Inn property, with Tutera’s skills of taking a small space and utilizing it to its max capacity. The following spaces are typically reserved for the weekend’s events: welcome reception on the front lawn, rehearsal dinner at Castle Hill Beach and the wedding at the Chalet Lawn overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Throughout the weekend, little nooks on the property will be used in accordance with the wedding, such as relaxing yoga on the beach to calm down nerves before the big day.
“We want guests to experience as much of the forty acres as possible,” Charles says.
Tutera uses a combination of local and his key players from afar to bring you the best design. When he first met with Castle Hill Inn in 2021, he was acquainted with local vendors and fostered connections with the local wedding industry so he can guide couples toward the best designs.
“With David’s vision, the sky is the limit,” Maroney says. “His talent is endless; we’re always surprised to see what he has in store for the couples.”
