A dark and starry night was the perfect backdrop for this couple at Wrights Mill Farm in Canterbury, Connecticut.

The Meet Cute: Ashley and Justin met when Ashley went to ACME Ink Tattoo in Coventry, RI, for a first-time appointment. Her tattoo artist, Corey, said he wanted to set her up with his best friend, Justin. After the appointment, he dished the details about Ashley to Justin. They finally met up with each other after about a month. Four years later, they got married. Bonus: Ashley became absolute best friends with Corey’s wife, Brianna.

The Dress: Atypical to the traditional white dress, Ashley wore a stunning black lace gown and black veil scattered with stars. “I wore a black dress because I thought, ‘If I’m supposed to feel like magic on my wedding day, then I should wear a color I feel amazing in,’” Ashley says.

The Highlights: In line with the celestial theme, the universe seemed to align with the celebration. “It was a full moon and I am in love with the moon,” Ashley says. The couple expressed extreme gratitude to the venue, owners and staff, specifically Kurt and Brie, who they say were incredible. On top of everything, photographers Meagan and Justin Sharum made the day so much fun for the couple.
