Nijah Mangual of Bronx, New York and Anthony Venditelli Jr. of Johnston, Rhode Island are engaged! These two will tie the knot on Oct. 18, 2024 at The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station in Haddam, CT.

How We Met

One night, I was out with my friends and he was working valet at the restaurant. He parked my car, we exchanged a flirty smile but never got each other’s name or info. Fast forward to one month later, I got a friend request from a cute guy on Instagram. He shot his shot and eventually we went out on a date. We ended up going to the same restaurant that we coincidentally ran into each other. We hit it off and the rest is history.

Our Proposal Story

This past July 2022, we traveled to the Azores, Portugal. He took me up a mountain that had an amazing scenic view. At the edge of a cliff, surrounded by blue hydrangeas and under a beautiful chapel, he got down on one knee and popped the question. My family was there to witness the whole thing in action. Honestly the sweetest surprise.
