Pull up a chair and swoon at this beautiful, sentimental Newport wedding.
The Meet-Cute
On an unplanned boat day between mutual friends. Turns out both of our best friends date each other and we never crossed paths until this boat day!
The Proposal
We were fixing up our newly purchased house and as I was bringing in some supplies into the house (eight months pregnant with our son), Shane dropped down on his knee. It was so out of the blue but that is one of the reasons why I love Shane so much — he is full of unexpected surprises!
Planning Process
There were ups and downs but in the end, I couldn’t have asked for a better process. All of the vendors we picked were impeccable: from our florists to photographers, we lucked out so much!
The Venue
When I thought of a perfect wedding, I thought of getting married right on the water; That was something my dad promised he would give me when I got married (he passed when I was sixteen, so I never got to plan my wedding with him). Shane and I were on our way to Newport to look at a different venue, but I saw The Bohlin pop up on my newsfeed and they were able to get us in within the hour to meet! It was meant to be because when we saw everything about The Bohlin, I couldn’t see anything other than us getting married there.
The Big Day
It was so effortless and magical, we truly understand why it is the most perfect day. We were surrounded by all of our loved ones and had the most amazing weather. I still count my blessings just thinking about it.
Don’t think too much into things — at the end of it all, you’ll see how everything just falls into place and all of the little stressors never mattered!
