Fort Adams is a historical landmark with several different choices of locations for your event. Fort Adams is surrounded with beautiful views of Narragansett Bay and Newport Harbor. The venue offers the opportunity and the flexibility to create an event suiting the bride and groom that is unique from all others.

Surrounded by Narragansett Bay and Newport Harbor, Fort Adams lends itself to outdoor ocean themes, sunsets and American history.
Where are the best photo ops on your property?
Fort Adams has many different indoor and outdoor photo opportunities; it is truly up to the creativity of the couple. Ocean and sunset views paired with the textures of the Fort Adams walls and interior create an amazing backdrop for any and all photos.
How does pricing work at your venue?
The pricing is based on a five-hour event of 100 or more guests. We offer more hours, ceremony chairs and adjusted pricing for smaller groups.
Does your venue accommodate ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions?
We are a one-stop shop if that is what you are looking for. We do mix and match as well, holding just the ceremony or just the cocktail hour and reception. We are flexible and try to meet the needs of the couple.
Tell us about your on-site coordinator.
The director of special events assists the couple from the day that they decide on through the day of celebration. She assists with the planning process if needed and coordinates all of the day-of vendors. The director is available for the on-site rehearsal and any prior planning that needs to happen. She essentially is the glue of the day, helping to coordinate the vendors and all the needs of the special day.
What other perks does your venue offer?
The venue provides golf carts to help move guests around the venue spaces as well as those that might need a little extra assistance. We offer a rooftop view of Narragansett Bay during cocktail hour as well as several event staff to assist with guests’ and vendors’ needs throughout the event.
What advice would you give to couples just beginning their venue search?
Create a list of non-negotiables and share your ideas with your venue. You never know what might be possible.
