Tahra LaCroix of Taunton, MA, and Jonny Cao of Middleborough, MA, have yet to set a wedding date but are enjoying the planning process.
How We Met
We met in high school and dated briefly before I got pregnant. We graduated high school and had our son. We had many ups and downs and ended up breaking up for a couple of years. God lead us back to one another and we couldn’t stay away from each other. We both knew we were each other’s forever and decided to give it one last try. If it didn’t work out between us this time, then it never would. We were older now and knew we had to give it our all and that’s exactly what we did. We were the most in love we have ever been and knew it was going to work out! Plus our son loved having us back together.
Our Proposal Story
It was the day before my birthday and he took me to dinner in Plymouth, Massachusetts. We went to Mama Mias. After dinner, he took me to the beach, which is my favorite place so I didn’t think anything was out of the ordinary. He had a blanket and gave me his sweatshirt. We laid and talked for a while. He was telling me how happy I make him and how thankful he is for everything I do for him and our son. He told me how he wanted to be with me forever and I told him I wanted the same. I still wasn’t thinking anything of it. He stood me up and kissed me and dropped to one knee. I just about lost it. I couldn’t even say ‘yes;’ there were too many tears. I eventually said, “Of course” and we called our son to tell him the good news!
