Jaimie Fiore of East Greenwich and Aaron Wilson of Rochester, New York are set to wed on September 22, 2019 at the Newport Beach House.

How We Met

Aaron and I (Jaimie) met on Match.com (even though he insists we matched on multiple dating sites/apps). Our first date was at Audubon near Fenway and was supposed to be just one drink on a Thursday night in December 2017. As the night went on, we ended up hopping around to two other restaurant/bars and talking wee into the early morning. Despite seemingly hitting it off on our first date, we were both a little hesitant of each other. For whatever reason, we both kept dating each other, though. Then, one day in late January, Aaron came over to cook for me, but before he started cooking, he cleaned the oven! I remember sending my mom a picture of him practically in the oven and saying, “I think he’s a keeper.”

Our Proposal Story

I (Aaron) planned on surprising Jaimie at a vineyard that we both love in Newport, RI. I had to work hard to keep her from knowing, as she was growing suspicious, so her mom helped me plant clues to throw her off. As far as she knew, it wasn’t going to happen for at least another month. The day of the proposal, we did some sightseeing around Newport all day, but I needed to keep us on schedule as her friend Christina was going to be at the vineyard to record it and surprise Jaimie. When we got to the vineyard, I had to be sneaky about texting Christina so that I didn’t tip off Jaimie. Eventually, we wandered out into the vines; I was trying to walk super slow so that Christina would be able to find us and get set up. Just as Jaimie was saying that this was her favorite place in Newport, I saw Christina right next to us with her video camera up. I had to quickly drop down to my knee, and we were able to pull it off without Jaimie having the slightest clue that it was coming!
