Danielle Beauchene of Lincoln and Patrick Fogarty of Glocester are set to wed at the Eisenhower House on June 20, 2020.
How We Met
Patrick and I met about five years ago in downtown Providence. I was out with all of my girlfriends for a girls’ night consisting of dancing and vodka sodas and he was there with his brothers and friends. He approached me and asked to buy me a drink, and from there on till closing we sat and talked at the bar. A day or so later, he asked me on our first date which consisted of tacos and trivia at Ladder 133. We spent the whole night talking about our favorite things and, of course, dogs. It was then that we learned about our love of Pomsky puppies.
Our Proposal Story
He proposed on a brisk Sunday morning in October of 2019. My girlfriends and I started the day with what I thought was going to be a little nature walk in Glocester followed by our favorite activity: brunch. There had been a windy night before, so the fall foliage was scattered about the path. This trail leads to the top of a hill where there is a large clearing and beautiful view. As we rounded the corner and headed into the clearing, we heard a little yapping sound. At this point, my friends started to fall back and let me investigate. When I approached, there was the fluffiest, most perfect Pomsky puppy I had ever seen almost posing alone on the bench. When I got close enough to touch him, Patrick appeared from behind a tree and got down on one knee, asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. I, of course, said yes (to him and to the puppy!) Moments later, our family and even more friends appeared from behind the bushes with Champagne and more dogs in hand. We spent the rest of the day celebrating with a little party at his parent’s house.
