Katelyn Adams of Moosup, Connecticut and Adam Lavoie of Smithfield are set to wed on October 26, 2018 at Zukas Hilltop Barn.
How We Met
Adam and I met through an online dating site; we were complete opposites but so similar all at the same time. I was in the process of earning my master’s degree and he was a tow truck operator. After weeks of chatting through text, I finally agreed to meet up with him at a restaurant in my town. Ever since that first date, almost three years ago, we have been inseparable.
Our Proposal Story
It was our one year anniversary and Adam was insisting on taking me out to a nice dinner and walk on the beach in Newport. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t cooperating but Adam insisted we still take a walk on the Cliff Walk overlooking the ocean and Newport mansions. It was cold and about to rain, but he would not take no for an answer. As we were walking and reminiscing on the past year, he turned to me and told me to close my eyes. When I opened my eyes back up he was down on one knee and he nervously said, “Katelyn, will you marry me?”
