Tell us how you met:
We met in Barcelona, Spain. We both worked for the same company at the time but hadn’t met each other as there were over 400 people in the Providence office. I was an event manager organizing the corporate event in Barcelona and he was attending as an employee. We met at the event and there were immediate sparks but we were both in other relationships. We didn’t go out on a date until almost six months later but after that it was pretty clear we were right for each other and we’ve been together ever since.
Tell us your proposal story:
We had planned a trip to Key West for this past Memorial Day weekend. On the last night we had dinner at a beautiful restaurant right on the water…our table actually sat in the sand. We had a great night and then he suggested we take a walk down to the pier and take in the sunset. That’s when he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! We’re thrilled and we can’t wait to start our life together. The best part was telling Darrell’s seven year old son, Evan, who is over the moon and can’t wait for the wedding!
