Tell us about your day: John and I were married on September 20, 2014, at the Aldrich Mansion in Warwick. The weather was perfect. We couldn’t have had a more beautiful day. The boys dressed at the Biltmore in Providence, while the girls got ready at my parents’ home. My mother custom made my dream wedding gown, which had been kept a surprise from all but the two of us. It captured my vision of classic elegance perfectly. The ceremony took place at 4:30 at the Our Lady of Providence Chapel on the Aldrich Mansion grounds. My uncle was our pianist and one of the bridesmaids the vocalist, which kept the ceremony very personal. The celebration continued with a reception at Aldrich Mansion, with delicious food and lots of dancing. My vision of a “Downton Abbey” wedding was met with gorgeous flowers from Flowers by Semia, with a different palette for each room at the mansion. We even had live wedding painter Mark DeSilva present to capture our first dance.
