Photos are so valuable, but they don’t have to cost a fortune.

After what was only the best bridal shower ever, I now realize what good photos actually mean. Thanks to my mother and cousin, Amanda, who captured the essence of the event, I now have pictures that are worth a million words.
Having photos of the big day is of the greatest importance, but I don’t believe it has to come at such a high price. Lucky for me I have a few amazing photographers in my family and will have them taking photos at my wedding. My cousin, Amanda, has a great eye for timing and beauty with this signature kindness that she puts in every photo. But not to worry — if there isn’t a savvy artist in your family, there are always schools. There are lots of students out there who need portfolio work and experience, and I’m sure would love to shoot your wedding for a small fee.
My shower last weekend was full of champagne, wild streamers and toilet paper brides that I will never forget. The pictures we captured are the icing on the cake. Thanks to my mother and sister, this party went off without a hitch. It got me thinking about certain photos I want to have for the wedding day. With whom do I desperately need a picture and where exactly could each photo be taken? My venue is the perfect backdrop for all those candid shots I want, but I’m thinking I want some fun editorial shots as well. I’ve made it clear that I do not want to see Liam before the ceremony — so before shots are out of question — which means I want a picture of his face when I enter the room.
This big day of ours is only ten weeks away now, so I’m putting together a folder of must-have photos. I found some inspiration on BuzzFeed and also added a few of my own. Doesn’t hurt to think ahead!
