We ordered a package of ten to make sure we liked them. I waited patiently by the mailbox and tore open the package minutes after it arrived. Inspecting every detail one-by-one, we picked it all apart, every pattern and arrangement we had agreed upon. None of the layouts we tried was quite to our liking. After the third try (and $30) we concluded that we are not great graphic designers. We allowed ourselves a good laugh and then took to the computer to find an already well composed save the date.
Scrolling the pages of what Vistaprint offers for weddings, we finally found something that spoke to us. Considering our wedding date is smack dab in the middle of the holidays and the potential for snow is great, we wanted our invites to look as warm and inviting as possible. We stumbled upon a vibrant red and yellow watercolor effect that instantly reminded me of Georgia O’Keeffe’s “Red Poppy.” Being an artist, I immediately screamed, “This one!” Amazingly enough, Liam loved it as much as I did. We went for the gold and ordered all seventy.
Clicking our way through the checkout process we were offered some fun ways to customize our order (Vistaprint has thought of everything). We were given options like stickers or embossments, brightly colored envelopes and decorative address labels — I had to have them all. Of course, after looking into our wallets, we limited it to the address labels and the envelope stickers. I know my guests will enjoy opening mail that’s graced with such lighthearted adornments. With a click of the mouse we added them to the cart and made our order.
Smiling as I add each stamp, I’m glad we made the decision to choose from their designs. From the colors to layout, they fit the feel we want for our wedding. Thank you Vistaprint!
