My friend and I found all sorts of treasures at the Crompton Collective in Worcester.

I found a small treasure I’d like to share with all you vintage beauties out there. Whether it’s your personal style or you’re having a Great Gatsby-inspired wedding, this place is full of possibilities. Because I am getting married at Cav, a romantic restaurant/vintage shop, timeless beauty seems to be the reoccurring theme. I had been looking all over for places that might have a 1920s wedding dress, and in my hunt I found the Crompton Collective. Also located in an old mill building, it reminded me of Pawtucket’s Hope Artiste Village. I had to take a look.
Located in Worcester, Massachusetts, this vintage wonderland is about a forty-five minute drive away. As it turned out, I was just in time, too: The day I ventured over there in the snow, they were having their Wedding Weekend Event. It was full of small-town vendors with great prices, charming personalities and creative style. I left there with a free wedding hair consultation, six delicious cupcakes and a lot of discounts. My girlfriend and I were just browsing tables when one vendor asked if we’d like to have our hair done. (Umm…YES!!!!!) These girls from St. Cyr Salon were so much fun. They chatted us up and were interested in every detail of both of our weddings (she’s getting married, too). The best part is even though St. Cyr Salon is located in Worcester, they’ll drive on-site to Providence for almost all your wedding beauty needs!
Walking on cloud nine through the rest of the event, I spotted a twinkle from one of the jewelers’ tables. A dainty gold vine adorned with tiny white pearls made its way into my hands. It was the perfect fit to grace my sweet baby girl’s head on the big day — it brought me to tears (maybe some of you mommies out there who are getting married can relate to my gushing over something so small). It made me feel so alive to be buying what will end up a keepsake for my young redhead. Hopefully all the other little details will fall together just as easily. We’ll see!
Here are some of the other great vendors I got to meet:
Fivefork Farms (flowers and they hold bridal showers, too)
The Queen’s Cup ($2.60 a cupcake and so pretty)
Cinnamon Birds (just plain adorable)
